Since then, Jane, Louise, and Robert (in alphabetical order by first name) or Jane, Louise, and Robert (in alphabetical order by service area Adult, Children's, Young Adult) have been counting the myriad slips of paper and forms with the number of pages, number of books, or number of minutes read that were turned in during the Summer Reading Program.

| | | Jan's Book Corner: 8/19 | Last week, before I left for my vacation, I promised - well, maybe promised is too strong a word, maybe "mentioned" is better and better allows for the vagaries and vicissitudes that often intervene with even the best intentions-that this week, upon my return I would (almost for sure) have the numbers from the Summer Reading Program tabulated so that I could answer the questions burning everybody's heart and mind "Did we break the two-million-page mark this summer?"
